Sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and ammonia (NH3) have a diverse set of chemical properties that make them valuable substances in various industries and are key components in the production of phosphate fertilizers, such as ammonium phosphate and superphosphate fertilizers. These fertilizers are essential for promoting plant growth and increasing yields.

Since 2016, SKM GROUP JSC has been one of the few companies that imports and exports concentrated sulfuric acid (95-98%) and ammonia (NH3) in the Republic of Bulgaria. The volumes of sulfuric acid and ammonia that are exported and imported monthly are overloaded through transhipment terminals that are built in the base of SKM GROUP JSC. The transhipment is carried out in and from ADR-specific truck tankers and rail tankers. The processed and overloaded quantities of sulfuric acid and ammonia are intended primarily for leading chemical industry factories in the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Bulgaria.
